Target Audience
WFAPA's In-Person and Virtual Conference is designed for all parents and caregivers, individuals with lived experience with adoption, foster care, and kinship care, business professionals, teachers, law enforcement officers, child welfare advocates, correctional and social workers, and many other individuals committed to supporting children.
Whether you’re seeking professional development, foster care learning credits, community connection, or tools to better support children and youth, you’ll find meaningful learning opportunities designed to inspire, inform, and empower.
Conference Interaction
WFAPA's In-Person and Virtual Conference is interactive. Participants & presenters may ask and answer questions throughout the sessions and participate in presenter-led discussions.
System requirements
WFAPA recommends using a desktop or laptop computer to take full advantage of Zoom’s capabilities. This will provide a better viewing experience and will permit access to features not available on the Zoom app on tablets and smart phones. A stable internet connection is imperative for the best viewing experience. If you experience internet issues, you may join by phone using the dial-in number provided in the confirmation email from Zoom and follow along using the materials that are available in advance of each program.
If you use a Zoom account that is registered in someone else’s name, your attendance will not be recorded and WFAPA will not be able to issue you a certificate of attendance. To ensure you receive proper credit, use a Zoom account associated with the same email address used in your WFAPA registration. You can sign up for a free Zoom account at zoom.us/signup.
Conference Completion and CE Information
WFAPA designates this in-person and virtual conference for 12 foster care learning credits. To earn foster care learning credits, participants must be on time, sign in and sign out, and attend the entire sessions. Partial credit is not permitted. WFAPA's Certificates of Completion will be given out to in-person participants at the end of the General Membership Meeting and emailed to virtual participants within 7 business days of conference completion. Attendees may use the WFAPA Certificate of Completion to verify attendance and apply for continuing education in their jurisdiction.
Registration Deadline
Registration will remain open until 9:00 PM CST on October 9, 2026. In the event the conference reaches capacity prior to that day/time, registration will close automatically.
Cancelation Notice
A full refund will be given for cancellations if written notice is sent by email to info@wfapa.org at least 8 days before the conference date. Refunds are not available for cancelations made within 8 days prior to the conference date.
There will be a $20.00 service fee for all checks returned for insufficient funds. I grant permission for WFAPA to use my personal image (photo) and name in any form of media for promotional and any other lawful purposes. WFAPA acknowledges that the images may be used on the organization’s website, Facebook, social media, flyers, publications, and that there will be NO payment for the use of the photographs, names or any other forms of media for promotional purposes. This releases WFAPA from any infringement or violation of personal and/or property rights of any sort whatsoever based upon the use of your photo(s), and further acknowledges that WFAPA is not obliged to use the photographs.
